Air Monitoring Data
In collaboration with the Air Pollution Control District (APCD), SDSU currently has three BAM 1022 monitors. Located in SDSU, San Ysidro, and the Tijuana Estuary. Raw PM2.5 data is collected hourly in micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m3) from all three sites. Two black carbon (BC) 1060 air monitors are located in San Ysidro and Tijuana Estuary. Raw BC data is collected every 5 minute concentrations in nanograms per cubic meter (ng/m3), respectively. Data is retrieved at least every 14 days and posted within 3 days under the “Raw data” link. The “QA/QC’d data” contains reviewed data of both air monitors for all sites.
